Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must be Egyptian citizens living in Egypt (dual nationality not preferred)
- Must begin their studies in the U.S. in 2025
- Must commit to returning to Egypt for 2 years after graduation
- Must not have lived abroad for more than 3 years
- Minimum TOEFL iBT: 100
- Minimum GPA: 3.5 or 90% in Thanaweyya Amma (or equivalent)
- Minimum SAT Scores:
- New SAT: 1450 overall, with 730 in Reading/Writing and 730 in Math
- OR SAT II: 600+ in 3 subjects
- Must have participated in extracurricular activities
For Master’s Applicants:
- Must be Egyptian nationals living in Egypt (dual nationals not preferred)
- Must plan to pursue a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management
- Must not have lived abroad for more than 3 years
- Must commit to returning to Egypt for 2 years after the program
- TOEFL iBT: 100 minimum
- GPA: 3.5 or “Very Good” or above
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years
- GMAT (for MBA): Minimum score of 650 (within 5 years)
- GRE (new format):
- Overall: 302, Analytical Writing: 4.5
- Must show involvement in extracurricular activities
Candidates with a foreign master’s in the same field or an Egyptian master’s in the same discipline will not be considered.
How to Apply for the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program 2026
Undergraduate Applicants:
